Repensando o ensino de biologia na Escola Estadual Benjamin Gomes Maranhão – Araruna – PB.

This paper results of investigations carried out under the State School Benjamin Gomes Maranhão, from the perspective of teaching methods employed by the Biology faculty of this institution, aiming to discuss the major methods used by qualitative research to verify the main differences between classes theoretical and experimental classes. It was found in the literature that the methodological approaches aimed at experimental classes are quite useful. The results showed that the methodology employed by the teachers before the school was not enough to carry out the teaching-learning process successfully, requiring the implementation of new methodological ways of teaching. We conclude that it is necessary a change in methodology, but that such an approach should be incorporated by teachers so that they can successfully accomplish their work.
