Abstract

dc:description.abstract

Our work aims to suggest general play activities or materials from concrete or mathematical software to be developed within the area of teaching geometry, specificity, content Polyhedra. Our goal was born from the experience we had in the course of supervised IV, offered by the Federal University of Paraiba, Distance Learning mode, which reported that qualitatively the scope of our work of Course Completion (TCC) in the appendices our research we also present the lesson plans that relate the experience of the intervention. We base our suggestions for activities in Falcão (2008), Nacarato (2000), Lorenzato (1995) among others. We describe some of the history of polyhedra, some myths and legends that surround the topic as well as curiosities of nature where we find the geometry, we also suggest construction of polyhedra through papercraft, straws, origami and finally, suggest a game that gives it to work and exercise such content. We conclude that the internship experience, students have shown a favorable performance in the subject of polyhedra from, among other factors, the concrete and material handling through reflection on action, our interest in alternative ways to expose the illustrations of textbooks polyhedra, proved to be a pertinent topic for further susceptible to conduct future research
