A importância da contação de histórias na educação infantil

This work aims to discuss the importance of story-telling in early childhood education, and present techniques of how the teacher can work with that make poetic, using children's literature nowadays. Developing our study, we highlight the choice of books for storytelling and how to read stories to children. We have seen that the storytelling causes the children to develop their learning potential, stimulating it their cognitive factor by encouraging reading. This work is supported by works of many authors, such as Rabbit (2000), Abramovich (2005), Costa (2008), Fuller (2009). Also presents experiences of the author of the work, the project "Telling and retelling: reading paths", developed in the School of Basic Education, through PROLICEN / UFPB.
