Contribuições da pedagogia na casa da criança com câncer da Paraíba: de mãos dadas pela vida

This paper approaches an experience lived at the Núcleo de Apoio a Crianças com Câncer da Paraíba (NACC), known as Casa da Criança com Câncer; linked to a Project from the PROLICEN / UFPB, under the coordination of Professor Ana Maria Coutinho Bernardo, during 2013, 2014 and 2015. This study aimed the development of educational practices from the perspective of learning to live with each other in that institution; emphasizing the importance of socialization and stimulating the comprehension and respect through storytelling and educational practices focused on solidarity. The theoretical and methodological mark substantiating the activities developed in this research are focused on studies of Paulo Freire, Jean Piaget and Lev Vygotsky, in order to promote the acceptance, respect and social inclusion through creative and enjoyable learning process. To achieve the objectives, it was promoted field research, supported by observations focused on children and adolescents in treatment and on the analysis of records of dialogues. It was also developed some work with the students of the Course of Full Degree in Education of the Federal University of Paraíba, aiming a better proximity to children and adolescents in order to promote the acceptance, respect and social inclusion through meaningful processes. The Project aimed to promote the right of self-determination, adaptation and development of children in treatment. The experiences during the research provided enriching moments for my education, allowing the development of educational practices that will contribute significantly in the student's life. The attentive and welcoming look are essential in the educator`s life, who has as his instruments the citizenship, the solidarity and the respect for an inclusive and qualified education.
