A percepção dos professores frente á ansiedade infantil: uma visão psicopedagógica

Anxiety is present in human behavior, from the earliest times, as part of their nature when having a sense of threat, danger, the end of which is not known. The childhood anxiety disorder has been a much discussed topic in recent years. In schools there have been a large number of children who have learning difficulties that in some cases are related to health problems, such as anxiety disorder. Referring to the educational level, studies in Psychology claim that excessive anxiety can have a negative influence on learning. In view of these writings, the present study aimed to investigate the perception of educators faced with childhood anxiety. Specifically, it was decided to make a survey of educational activities applied to children with symptoms of anxiety. It had as a methodology descriptive and qualitative character research which sought to analyze the knowledge of teachers. It was done with the participation of 10 teachers from the public network from the state of Paraiba. The instruments used were: a socio-demographic questionnaire and an instrument for the Natural Semantic Networks (RSN). The RSN investigated the psychological meaning of the keywords Infant / Anxiety Strategies. The results showed that the knowledge of teachers as to the children's anxiety is not enough to adopt teaching strategies. Through this, the study allowed for a contribution to the Educational Psychology Institutional and proposes advisory teachers, as other professionals. Therefore, an early warning for the identification of childhood anxiety disorders that can avoid negative repercussions, such as educational and social damage.
