Evolução em carga imediata em implantes osseointegrados

Abstract The predictability of implant treatment led to the development of techniques with the aim to simplifying the procedure reducing the period of osseointegration, lowering costs and allowing for more comfort to the patient. Following a major trend started in the 80s, was being studied and perfected the so-called immediate loading. We know the technical and scientific advances has occurred quickly in implantology and, immediate loading in osseintegrated implants recently was completely contraindicated. With the development of morphology and the implant surface was observed that osseintegration occurred more effectively and a load immediate over them could not bring consequence in the process or even, depending on the bone condition and level of strength, be beneficial. Face of these events intend to do a detailed review of the evolution of immediate loading in implant dentistry, placing more adequately professionals in decision making.
