It’s based in a literature review involving reference authors's contribution and legal documents about the issue. In this sense, using a deaf education initial history, it discussed the deafness meaning, its characteristics and who the deaf is nowadays. Afterwards, it discussed the deaf education in the youth and adults context and its implications in terms of difficulties about teachers’s work. In the final considerations, it sought to point out the possibilities to overcome these difficulties in order to reach the effective deaf inclusion in youth and adults education (EJA).
