Um olhar sobre a gestão documental no arquivo da Prefeitura Municipal de Cabedelo - PB

The core of document management is configured as the administration of such documents in files being managed and organized in arcchive through procedures outlined for this activity. The research examined the document management in the Archive of the City of Cabedelo - PB. Is characterized as descriptive and exploratory. We used quantitative and qualitative approaches to data analysis and as a tool for the research questionnaires. The sample consists of five employees who work in the Archive. Through the survey results the participants are female, aged over thirty-five years, with level of education high school. It is noteworthy that employees have prior knowledge about document management, but do not specialize in the area and consider an important management policy in the archive. We concluded that although the archive meets its users satisfactorily by the archival parameters is necessary to adjust some procedures, since there is the absence of a trained professional to work on the file and materials that are required for personal protection, for develop activities in existing documents that are not organized in the archive.
