Tendência e desafios do ensino de geografia da educação de jovens e adultos.

The EJA (Youth and Adult Education) is a form of education in Brazil that aims to develop the primary and secondary education with quality for people who do not have school age. Considering that the students of the Youth and Adult Education failed to attend regular schools due to various factors, including socioeconomic, as well as with a view to changing student profile of this segment, which previously prioritized students of adult age group, now covers also the teenage audience, the implementation of new objectives and strategies in order to meet the current demands is necessary. Based on the above, this study sought to develop an analysis about the new trends in geography teaching in adult education - EJA, therefore, a literature survey was conducted to gather information on the subject now explored, starting from premise that a learning environment conducive to stimulate the development of such students is of fundamental importance to facilitate the teaching-learning process. In this sense, if craved, while specific goal, investigate the challenges that permeate teaching in this mode, in order to highlight the teacher's figure as developer building the student's knowledge, where it is believed that the teacher is the main agent supporter of knowledge. It points out that the fundamental proposal of this study is to emphasize the guarantee of the right to education, in particular, for young people and adults (EJA), a right which, over the years, they have been denied. So part of it is assumed that the expansion of the right to education is grounded in public policy in this area. As methodological procedure, conducted a literature review based on books, articles, among others.
