Abstract

dc:description.abstract

The present paper presents an experience report which was lived while an Archival Course student, in the archive of the Secretary of Cabinet of the Pro-Rectory of Administration of the Federal University of Paraíba by means of a non-obligatory apprenticeship. It aimed to describe how the activities of organization of documentary typology, real estate deeds and land that belong to UFPB were developed since sanitization until digitization. It also aimed to evaluate if this treatment facilitated the access for the users that deal with these documents. The methodology that was used was explicative research, due to the familiarity with the collection, and the exploratory research to know the results of what was applied to. It is concluded that the organization of scanned documents has facilitated the recuperation of information by the employees that use them. This way, it is noted that an archivist is not a professional that is doomed to paper, he is also able to apply archival methods and to use tools in the virtual ambit, aiming to facilitate the recuperation of information.
