A música como terapia no desenvolvimento da criança autista

Music as therapy in the autistic child treatment has been a great ally in developing these individuals abilities because it has been bringing significant improvement on their potential. From the contribution of many researchers we can have a different view on autism giving to parents and educators opportunities for the progress of their children's and student's abilities there still haven't been any studies to prove the actual causes ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) but the search for the answer goes non-stop. However, so there can be a good development for these children, it is necessary that they first be diagnosed and for that the professionals have the help of the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders). From there on, methods of testament have been used by the professionals of the field, amongst them the ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication handicapped Children) and others that aim to develop language, socialization and bring independence for a better quality of life of the autistic individuals beyond these methods we can also find the music therapy that gathers the autist with perceptive and social processes. These procedures are interconnected to the neuronic stimuli that are responsible for the reception and interception of these sound stimuli. In the internship field we can contemplate from upchose the great benefits of these wonderful art of sounds together with the autists. The research took place at FUNAD, observing and interview the music teacher of autistic children. The experience let us get to know, with satisfaction, music as an intermediate to the autists learning.
