Digitalização de acervos fotográficos e o desafio entre o real e o ideal: uma análise a partir das necessidades do memorial TRT-PB

dc:description.abstractThe digitization of photographic collections is an innovative process in the archival institutions, which contributes to the preservation of collections as well as it helps in the dissemination of information, facilitating the use and access by users. This research is a comparative study that aims to analyze the procedures of digitization of the photographic collection performed by the Labor Court Memorial in Paraíba. After comparing the information obtained by means of a diagnostic with the recommendations from the literature for the digitization of photographic collections, it was found that the procedures currently performed by the memorial were not contributing to the generation of digital representatives of quality. This way, it was elaborated a proposal of a guide of improvements to be adopted. Finally, it was concluded that, in order to preserve and make available information with quality it is necessary that the digitization process of the photographic collection will be preceded of rigorous methods and its execution will be performed by means of adequate techniques.
