This research is a comparative study that aims to analyze the procedures of digitization of the photographic collection performed by the Labor Court Memorial in Paraíba. After comparing the information obtained by means of a diagnostic with the recommendations from the literature for the digitization of photographic collections, it was found that the procedures currently performed by the memorial were not contributing to the generation of digital representatives of quality. This way, it was elaborated a proposal of a guide of improvements to be adopted.
