A história da matemática e Equações do 1º Grau: uma experiência de ensino com a Regra da Falsa Posição.

This work has as theme, the history of mathematics and equations of 1st degree with the rule of position false in order to experience in practice, a teaching-learning experience through the application of a different methodology currently used. We believe that the diversification the didactic of teacher will provide new ways for students, facilitating the understanding of the content during the teaching process, making learning with more meaning. The main goal of our research is to present a teaching proposal starting from the history the math to the study of the 1st degree equations in a class of 7º year. In this sense, we use the qualitative approach where the literature was essential to clarify the theoretical importance of the history of mathematics, and so develop the case study. Based on this assumption, we consulted some theories that served to support our research, highlighting the PCN (1998), Mendes (2006), Michael and Miorim (2004) and Baumgart (1992). To achieve the objectives, we built a didactic sequence, having as theme the resolution of 1st degree equations, using the rule of false position. The sequence was applied to a group of 7º year, composed of thirteen students in a public school of the countryside in the city of Junco do Seridó -PB. On their development, we observe that the students demonstrated good performance the resolution of historical issues addressed, mainly because they provided a motivational rise, facilitating the understanding of algebraic process. Thus, the students developed new capabilities to relate them to contemporary problems, allowing you to make new discoveries, aiming to build a learning with meaning. This shows that the history of mathematics is an important didactic resource for the teaching and learning of mathematics, which , together with others should be incrementing as instrument of methodology of teacher.
