Plataforma ACASAS - Experimentação de danças, performances e outras coisas de arte, em casas

The research presented addresses dances, performances, and other art forms in domestic environments, especially those that were carried out on the ACASAS Platform, a laboratory for artistic experimentation in homes, between 2012 and 2022. It explores how the ‘home’ place influences and is influenced by dances, performances, and other art forms, especially when they propose different modes of relation with the place for their production and circulation, highlighting their ethical and political aspects. Recognizing that places are not neutral, the study focuses on the ‘home as a space for artistic experimentation’ and examines how works of dance, performance, and other art forms, performed in this context, present notions about ‘art’ and ‘home’ in their propositions. I also intend to experiment with modes of writing for arts research, which is oriented by artistic practice. Using description as an exercise to write about artistic creations, the thesis presents fragments of memories, images, essay drafts, questions, gaps, and pauses, aiming to demonstrate the complexity that arises when engaging with the ‘home’ context, and proposing spaces for artistic experimentation.
