A Comparative Investigation of Achievement of Magnet School and Non-Magnet School Students Based on Standardized Tests and Teacher Perception

The primary purpose of this study was to compare the academic achievement levels in math and reading of magnet and non-magnet school students. A secondary purpose was to identify factors which, in the judgment of professional employees experienced in working with both magnet and non-magnet school students, impede or enhance achievement of magnet school students.
