The primary purpose of this study was to compare the academic achievement levels in math and reading of magnet and non-magnet school students. A secondary purpose was to identify factors which, in the judgment of professional employees experienced in working with both magnet and non-magnet school students, impede or enhance achievement of magnet school students.
