Abstract
dc:descriptionThis study aims to describe the post-stroke fatigue and level of daily activities in patients undergoing rehabilitation treatments in a rehabilitation hospital. Data was collected from December 10, 2011 to April, 29, 2012. The post-stroke fatigue and level of daily activities were measured using Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS) and Korea Activities of Daily Living (K-ADL) Index. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS WIN 17.0 program. The results of this study are as follows: 1. The averages post-stroke fatigue and level of daily activities were a 3.24 out of 7, and 12.43 out of 21, respectively. 2. The post-stroke fatigue showed a statistically significant negative correlation (r = -.224, p = .016) whit level of daily activities 3. The post-stroke fatigue showed a statistically significant differences according to time of onset (p = .002), area of paralysis (p = .006), and the number of accompanied symptoms (p = .020). 4. The level of daily activity showed a statistically significant differences according to age (p <.001), sex (p = .018), time of onset (p = .026), area of paralysis (p < .001), number of recurrent attacks (p < .001), and the number of accompanied symptoms (p < .001). According to the results of this study, Post-stroke fatigue correlation to level of daily activity. There is a need for a study on development and adaptation of a mediating nursing program reduce post-stroke fatigue in order to improve level of daily activities.
