Abstract
dc:descriptionThis study was attempted in order to get the basic data of a disease prevention program development of musculoskeletal symptoms grasping relationship between work-related stress and musculoskeletal symptom of home healthcare nurses. For this propose, I used the questionnaire which asked home healthcare nurses working in domestic nursing business as registered at the home healthcare nurse association in 2010. 168 nurses responded to this questionnaires, a total of 118 dates were analyzed excluding 23 copies to be incomplete among 141 copies returned. The field of questionnaire included general characteristics, professional characteristics, work-related stress and Musculoskeletal Symptoms. I used a tool developed by the Yoon Yeongm Mi (2003) to measure work-related stress included low-ranking field of nine, musculokeletal work risk factors survey guideline(KOSHA Code H-30-2008) was used for musculoskeletal symptoms. Frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, AVONA, Pearson's correlation were employed to analyze the collected data with the use of SPSS win 15.0 program. The results of this study are summarized as follows. 1. Work-related stress of home healthcare nurses was 3.27±0.42 points (five points of maximum scores) on the average, by each area, their work-related stress from nursing patients was 3.58±0.70 points, then work environment(3.49±0.54) and then a psychological burden(3.31±0.70) regarding a medical limits. 2. It showed that 64.9% of the total subjects had musculoskeletal symptoms according to musculoskeletal symptoms table standard. The prevalence rate of musculoskeletal symptoms by body parts appeared mostly in shoulders(54.6%) and follpwed by waist, neck, hand/wrist/fingers. 3. Work-related stress by general characteristics show a diffence according to age, degrees of drinking. Also, that of professional characteristics showed the significant difference according to a total nursing career, a home nursing career and a form of the organization. 4. Musculoskeletal symtoms by general characteristics showed significant differences according to a school career, degrees of drinking. And musculoskeletal symptoms by professional characteristics showed the significant difference according to driving time of a day and working burdens. 5. Personal relations scope noted statistically whether or not there was in musculoskeletal symptoms from work-related stress. As a result of having analyzed a correlation between numbers of work-related stress and those of musculoskeletal symptoms, both of them as a whole showed the correlation of positive with direct nursing scopes of patients, personal relations, a burden regarding a medical limits and problems of patient request. Based on the result of this study, it will be necessary the program that can manage work-related stress of home healthcare nurses, and various approaches that relieves a musculoskeletal symptoms and can prevent musculoskeletal diseases.
