Chromosomenanomalien und multiple systemische Fehlbildungen in SNOMED (Kapitel D 4) und in der ICD 10 (Kapitel XVII) : ein kritischer Vergleich und Vorschläge zu einer deutschen Version

Registration, management and utilisation of a growing amount of data requires especially in medicine a sufficient system of nomenclature and classification. In this thesis it could be shown that SNOMED International is a powerful instrument for medical documentation. With SNOMED International it is possible to encode a complete medical history in a way that it could be understood anywhere in the world where SNOMED International is used. To demonstrate the efficiency of SNOMED International the axis 'Diseases' section 4-0 'Multiple system malformations and chromosomal diseases' was translated and compared with ICD 10.
