Verarbeitung und Eigenschaften von Faserverbundkunststoffen mit Elastomermatrix
Abstract
dc:descriptionElastomer matrices extend the range of fiber reinforced plastics (FRP). The work presents an overview over materials and processing methods for such E-FRP. First, an overview of low-viscosity elastomer systems is given, which are suitable for E-FRP. Twelve different fiber-matrix-combinations based on polyurethanes and silicones are analysed with respect to their curing behavior and the mechanical properties. The fiber-matrix-adhesion of the silicone matrix resins on glass and aramid fibers was found to much lower than for the polyurethanes and silicones. The measured strength of the glass fiber reinforced samples are between 66,0 MPa and 649,4 MPa for the fiber direction and between 0,6 MPa and 14,6 MPa in cross fiber direction, while the aramid fiber reinforced samples reached a strength between 460,0 MPa and 880,0 MPa in fiber direction and between 56 and 2666 MPa in cross fiber direction. In contrast to the samples with polyurethane and epoxy matrix the silicone matrix samples did not exhibit a significant drop in storage modulus with temperature. For a pneumatic muscle with symmetrical laminate construction the expansion behavior of flexible E-FRP structures is described. A model for the expansion of such structures, which takes into account the matrix stiffness and fiber elongation, is developed.
