Untersuchung zur Veränderung der mechanischen Festigkeit von In-Ceram-Kronen in Abhängigkeit von der Lagerung in Kunstspeichel
Abstract
dc:descriptionThis PhD Thesis is to prove if In-Ceram® (Registered Trademak by Vita) implemented in Incisivi/Caninicrowns provides sufficient strength when being exposed to artificial salivar, to be applied like VMK in the field of aesthetical front-tooth dental treatment. Our trials have been based on "Normkronentest" by Voss, to provide a scenario being compatible with findings resulting from rather traditional Verblendkronen applications. No significant influence of exposure to Fusajama salivar on the fracture strength could be stated. Also,comparisons of Incisivi/Canini parameters did not lead to significant differences. To gain a test body,we chose slurry lamination instead of an injection technique, to allow a higher degree of practical relevance. According to specifications by Vita,both an Incisivus and a Caninus were designed with rounded layers in a four-degree convergence angle. To assure a perfect fitting of the test bodies to the carriers,teeth have been cast using Wiron 88. This is an essential procedure, since any plastical deformation of the carriers would have had an influence on further results, which had to be avoided by any means. To summarize,our results show the strength provided by In-Ceram® for Incisivi/Canini applications when compared to traditional VMK applications.
