Erschütterungsreduktion durch aufgeschäumte Isolierkörper im Boden
Abstract
dc:descriptionThe vibration isolation is an important part by the planning or reconstruction of buildings and structures nearby vibration sources such as railways or rotating machines. The conventional isolation methods such as spring elements or elastomer mats are normally very expensive and complicated to install. Particularly in many cases such as landmarked buildings, these methods couldn’t be used at all. Using Isolation barriers in the propagation of the wave path is, in such cases, the only way to reduce the vibration in the buildings adjacent to the vibration sources. The efficiency of such barriers is studied by means of theoretical calculations and numerical simulations. In this way the important characteristics and dimensions of these barriers are appointed. Experience has shown that they have a high isolation potential if they compliance the appointed characteristics. The best vibration isolation is achieved by an impedance ratio of IR <0,1 (impedance of the isolation material to the impedance of the soil). By such materials, a minor thickness of these barriers, is sufficient to achieve good vibration reduction factors. Another aim of this research work was to develop an economical and also practical way to positioning such barriers in the soil. This Method is based on injection of a suitable material that satisfies the determined criteria from the numerical calculations for a good isolation. The used Material is a kind of polyurethane foam which can crack the soil and foaming in the cracks. The first preliminary tests of these barriers have showed good results.
