Non-Conventional Methods for Beneficial Impact on Human Health and Training of Healthcare Professionals // Неконвенционалните методи за благоприятно въздействие върху човешкото здраве и обучението на специалистите по здравни грижи

From the Asian continent to Europe, the best discoveries of Eastern medicine were transferred and outlined in a direction different from conventional medicine. These methods of diagnosis and treatment existed many years before the emergence and development of contemporary scientific medicine, are practised today in parallel with it, and in recent years have entered as curricula in student training courses in higher education. This dissertation investigates the awareness and attitudes towards non-conventional methods for beneficial effects on human health when deciding on their application in the training of health care professionals and their clinical practice. The study was conducted through a direct individual anonymous survey among the students of the professional field "Health Care" of MU-Varna and healthcare professionals working in inpatient and outpatient settings. In summary, we can say that professionals and students are not familiar with the legal regulation of NM in our country and believe that they need additional information before participating in public discussions about their legal regulation. A significant proportion of respondents believe that NM can be part of the complex treatment of patients. The majority of respondents believe that NM should be studied and practised primarily by rehabilitation therapists, nurses, midwives, medical cosmetologists and assistant pharmacists.
