Synthesis and Reactivity of Trimethylsilylthiolate Compounds: Precursors for Heterometallic Complexes
Abstract
dc:descriptionChapter 4. The synthesis and reactivity of several ruthenium(VI) and osmium(VI) sulfido complexes are reported. The triruthenium sulfido complexes (PPh$\sb4$) (\rm\{Ru(N)R\sb2\}\sb3(μ\sb3-S)$\sb2\rbrack,$ (19, R = Me; 20, R = $\rm CH\sb2SiMe\sb3)$ react with $\rm MeOSO\sb2CF\sb3$ to form μ\sb3-thiolate complexes \rm\{Ru(N)R\sb2\}\sb3(μ\sb3-SMe)(μ\sb3-S) (22, R = $\rm CH\sb2SiMe\sb3$; 23, R = Me). Complex 19 reacts with ($\rm Cu(PPh\sb3)\sb2(NCMe)\sb2\rbrack\lbrack BF\sb4\rbrack$ to form (\rm Cu(PPh\sb3)\sb2\rbrack\lbrack\{Ru(N)R\sb2\}\sb3(μ\sb3-S)$\sb2\rbrack,$ 24.
