Abstract
dc:descriptionA quality design is, in part, a design for a quality product. A quality design also incorporates manufacturability, prevention of failures, and other aspects influencing the value of the designed product. Loss of quality of the design can be defined as a cost--to the designer, the manufacturer, the vendor, the user, or society--when the product built from the design fails to meet an intended goal.
