Health-promoting Behavior Comparisons of Insured and Uninsured Rural Women

<p>This study explored the relationship between health-promoting behaviors and the health care seeking behavior of rural insured and uninsured women. The study also described the demographic characteristics of these groups. A comparative, descriptive, and non-experimental study design was utilized. A sample size of sixty-four (N=64) was achieved. Information from the respondents was obtained by completion of "Demographic Questionnaire", a "Visual Analogue Scale" and the "Lifestyle Profile II Questionnaire".<br> The finding of the demographic characteristics and visual analogue scale results were reported utilizing descriptive statistics. Hypothesis were formulated and were tested using t-tests with the information obtained from the "Lifestyle Profile n Questionnaire".<br> The following pages include the purpose and significance of the study, a review of literature, the research design and related method and procedures, and a complete analysis of the findings. The study will conclude with a summary of the research findings, implications for NP practice, and recommendations for further research.</p>
