Clarity and complexity : designing for an educational community

This thesis is an exploration of the qualities of clarity and complexity in architecture. These two qualities, are complimentary and should exist simultaneously. The study follows two routes: clarity and complexity as they relate to the experience of architecture, and clarity and complexity as they relate to the conceptualization of architecture and the process of designing. How does a building exhibit clarity in its entirety while simultaneously providing complexity and richness of form?
