<p>This clinical dissertation examines the role mindfulness plays in emotional intelligence within adolescence and provides clinicians with a manual that demonstrates the correlation between these two areas. The objective of this dissertation is to demonstrate the link between mindfulness skills, adolescent development, and emotional intelligence. The dissertation includes a comprehensive literature review and feedback from structured interviews with professional field experts. The thesis provides an understanding of mindfulness, the neurological and social development that occurs within adolescence, as well as background on emotional intelligence, and how the three areas are integrated. Discussions regarding limitations, recommendations, and suggestions for future research are included in the dissertation.</p>
