Abstract
dc:description.abstractAnthie Krog's poetry from the beginning caused a stir in the educational, church and academic circles. This was not only because of her forthrightness about sensitive issues, but also because of the new manner in which she used Afrikaans. Dissonance which continually manifests itself in her poetry, reflects the fact that, as a feminist poet in a strongly patriarchal society, she rejects the marginal position of women in a phallogocentric world.
