Estratigrafia e paleoambientes em rochas da formação gramame nas pedreiras do Roger em João Pessoa – PB.

This paper presents information on the stratigraphy and Paleoenvironments of the Quarries Roger in João Pessoa - PB, during the Maastrichtian inserted in Gramame formation in the Paraíba Basin. This thesis aimed to gather knowledge stratigraphic and paleoenvironmental existing quarries in the Roger in João Pessoa - PB. By analyzing the profiles 28 stratigraphic layers were identified Quarry 1 and 31 layers in the second quarry, so that lithostratigraphic profiles were generated through the layers. From a literature review on the subject and activities carried out in the field, it was found that the quarries studied corresponded to a Marine Platform Average ramp-shaped, not as deep seabed. It was also found that the paleoenvironments had a tropical climate, with hot and humid today correspond to the climate of the Brazilian Northeast, and remained so until the end of the Cretaceous.
