Educação de jovens e adultos: um olhar para o retorno dos discentes ao processo de escolarização

This Work Completion of course entitled "YOUTH AND ADULT EDUCATION: a look at the return of students to the educational process" aimed to investigate analyze the impact that the students of the School of Basic Education and EJA Manoel Faustino de Mendonça, face when they return to the classroom. We seek to know the profile of the EJA students. The methodology used was the field research, with the following stages: bibliographical study, document, exploration, observation and applied research to students and teachers / the EJA, in that school. After field experience we can say that the content presented to students of EJA are in line with public policy and the actual curriculum that guides teaching and learning, but there are several pitfalls that are still far from being solved, given, lacking minimum conditions for the proper performance of the task of educating this group of students. Lack adequate physical structure, teachers lack mainly of appropriate teaching materials, training courses / continuing education and recognition in the form of good wages. Already the expectations of the students goes beyond reading and writing, some are in search of a better job to support the family, or looking for a new outlook on life.
