Preservação de acervos: uma análise da produção científica no periódico Biblionline

Taking into account the issues referring to archive preservation under the post-custody perspective, especially in a society marked by the technology velocity, this study aimed to outline and analyze the archive preservation theme and its details in the articles published in the electronic journal Biblionline linked to the Information Science Department of the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), in the period 2005-2013. The study had the analysis of article abstract and the keywords as the methodological foundation. The results point out that the journal encompasses a meaningful amount of publications in areas such as Information Science, Archive Sciences and Librarianship, that is, documentation areas. Therefore, the theme related to the preservation of archives is neglected and thus can lead us to several hypotheses. Two of these can be mentioned, that is, few pieces of research, independently from the level, make reference to the preservation of archives, or this is an issue very little explored in the formation curriculum, especially if we consider the contemporaneous perspectives of the area.
