Gestão documental: um estudo nos arquivos escolares no município de Sapé - PB

Objectively diagnose the school archives of the City of Sapé- PB. This study is justified on the grounds that it is in the school archives that are archived recording the memories of students and schools. Noting the need to verify the reality of school records in the city of Sapé, sought to diagnose the school records through interviews with professionals who work in these informational units, and check how they are organized. It is characterized as exploratory and descriptive research, with qualitative and quantitative approaches to data analysis. It was used the interview as data collection instrument and analyzed the following items: identification; organizational and functional structure; archive organizational structure of the institution; identification of document collections; notation system: documentary ordination; documentary description of activities; access to and use of the documents; documentary collection. The results revealed that it is essential that a public policy document management for school records in the city of Sapé be institutionalized and implemented in order to improve the situation of archives and safeguard the memory of those institutions.
