Simulação da degradação de pelotas queimadas de minério de ferro no manuseio e dispositivo de sua análise expedita de quebra

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

Degradation of iron ore pellets occurs mainly due to the process of handling and transportation from the pelletizing plant until the customers. The development and application of mathematical models that predict for degradation at any stages of handling and for different levels of product quality contributes to better conditions to match the quality of the pellets produced to the customer handling and transportation circuit. The present work accomplished an improvement of the model of predictability with the development of the modeling of the height of fall during ship loading and the development and validation of a new equipment of analysis of surface breaking and volumetric of the pellets. After this, a sensitivity analysis was done on the mathematical model and a case study was performed through handling simulation from the pelletizing until the customer. This work showed the potential of the application of the degradation predictability model in industrial scale.
