dc:descriptionA textual and contextual reading and discussion of Aristotle's teleological essentialism as presented by him in Parts of Animals, Book I, Chapter 1. The essay demonstrates that in PA I.1 Aristotle establishes teleological essentialism as the principal point of reference for the enquiry and expostion of the structure and functionality of living beings.
