If detected in its early stage, cancer can be treated successfully. Breast examination might be obtained through three procedures: breast self-examination (BSE), clinical breast examination (CBE) and mammography. Project BETI was developed with idea of educating and training women and health care professionals in BSE. This instrument consists of a silicone breast model, tactile sensors and serial communication capability.
