Several different analyses were performed to answer questions regarding the timing of the growth of the structure, and mechanisms responsible for the location and shape of the structure.;Interpretation of seismic line CNR-G1 reveals a fan-like distribution of faults (in cross-section), characteristic of strike-slip related positive flower structures. Structure and isopach maps constructed from several hundred wells throughout the study area help constrain the aerial extent of the Gassaway structure, defining it as a dome rather than an anticline.
