The Uniform Convergence of Special Standardized Distributions
Abstract
dc:description.abstractIn this thesis, the uniform convergence of two special standardized distributions are examined. The Gamma distribution is standardized, and then the probability density function of the standardized Gamma distribution is shown to converge uniformly to the probability density function of the normal distribution. The F-distribution is standardized, and then the probability density function of the standardized F-distribution is shown to converge uniformly to the probability density function of the normal distribution. Along the way, some other interesting limits are observed.
