RECOVERY EVALUATION FOLLOWING OVERUSE RUNNING INJURIES.

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

Introduction: Running is a common form of aerobic exercise, but 50% of runners will suffer an overuse injury. Identifying injury etiology is of importance for clinicians to provide evidence based practice. Interestingly, there is a paucity of biomechanical, physiological, or psychological data on the condition of injured runners. It could be speculated that a poor recovery could lead to secondary injuries.
