Patients with GBM have a median survival rate of 14.5 months inspite of multimodality treatment involving surgery, radio- and chemotherapy. This warrants an intensive search for efficient new therapies. Interleukin 13 receptor alpha 2 (IL-13Rα2) is an internalized, plasma membrane receptor for IL-13. IL-13Rα2 is over-expressed in around 75 percent of GBM patients.
