Finite Element Analysis of Passenger Multiple Belt Restraint Configurations

Abstract

Injury measures have been developed for crash test dummies to associate the data generated to some meaningful measure to the human body. While the crash test dummies offered an important surrogate for the human body in real world crash testing, in finite element modeling, models of the human body could be an improvement over FE models of crash test dummies.
