Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe commutativity degree of a group is the probability that two randomly selected (with replacement) elements of the group commute. We find bounds on the commutativity degree of a finite group, equate restricted values of commutativity degree to finite groups with particular structures, compute the commutativity degree for a number of classes of fi nite groups, and discuss the set of possible values of commutativity degree for fi nite groups.
