It is the intent of this discussion to explore mechanisms by which celecoxib, rofecoxib, and nonselective anti-inflammatory medications influence cardiovascular risk. Specifically, I will present data from the Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis in order to identify an association of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications with indices of thrombosis and endothelial function.
