While traditional Lithium ion battery systems cannot support these flexible devices, the Zinc-air system with its high energy and power density, is a very promising alternative. However, its widespread application is limited by issues caused by traditionally used alkaline electrolytes which effectively amputates long term cycling. To this end, a new and a non-toxic and inexpensive class of electrolytes are studied. These aprotic non-aqueous electrolytes are expected to improve surface integrity of zinc electrodes over cycling. This work aims to examine the morphology of the disassembled electrode and issue a statement on the viability of this electrolyte.","abstract_html":"With recent advances in printing for flexible electronics, the demand for flexible energy storage systems with large power densities are required.
