Abstract
dc:description.abstractMembrane distillation (MD) is a novel membrane process for industry which promises to be a low energy and/or low cost alternative to established separation technologies. The overall objective of this research was the theoretical and experimental investigation of direct contact MD (DCMD) for major dairy processes. Milk and whey were the two major dairy streams explored in this study.
