A problem-solving based peer support program for enhancing adherence to oral antipsychotic medication in consumers with schizophrenia
Abstract
dc:description.abstractMany people with schizophrenia are reluctant to take their antipsychotic medications, and this might have adverse implications for their recovery. Numerous approaches have been implemented to enhance medication taking for this population, but results have varied. The overall aim of the study was to assess if consumers with schizophrenia had improved adherence to their oral antipsychotic medication after participation in a problem-solving based peer support program.
