dc:description.abstractThis is a study of the meaning that a group of Year 4 primary school children made of their participation in playing marimbas and "wacky" instruments with Artist-In-Residence, Jon Madin. The approach to music-making of the Artist-In-Residence is one which is participatory, inclusive and accessible, and which places value on children's active engagement in music-making.
