Expression and effects of epidermal growth factor related peptides in human term gestational tissue
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis thesis w a s undertaken to détermine the expression of several growth factors that belong to the Epidermal Growth Factor ( E G F ) family in h u m a n term gestational tissue. It also examines the effects exerted by Transforming Growth Factor alpha (TGFa), a member of the E G F family, on cultured villous cytotrophoblast (CT) cells isolated from placentae delivered between 38-40 weeks gestation.
