The effect of dehydration and rehydration on physiology parameters associated with maximal rowing performance
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis study examined firstly, the effects of 24 hours of dehydration on body weight, plasma volume and various urinary variables and compared the efficacy of drinking water and solutions of varying sodium chloride concentration in restoring plasma volume after dehydration; and secondly, the metabolic processes during performance in a maximal rowing trial following partial rehydration with water after rapid weight loss.
