The purpose of this study was to investigate the congruence between the informatics competencies educators believe should be included in the undergraduate nursing curriculum and those identified by newly registered nurses as relevant to their clinical practice. This two-phased study used the Delphi Technique, a research methodology for determining group opinion. In Phase One a purposively selected group of nurses experienced in the informatics domain generated a list of informatics competencies.
